Hi there
We are currently renovating our house and have bought an oven to put inside the chimney. The chimney is not as deep as the oven so our builders are building to suit. The oven we have bought is a Glem 900mm Gas/Electric (you can switch between the two for cooking and the stovetop is gas). My question is "Can we use a 700 or 800 wide undercupboard rangehood to go over the top of the oven?"
We have been told by a few shops that we can as the stove top will be gas but just want to check as the ones we are looking at are not cheap and we don't want to get it wrong. Also, on forums here people are saying that you have to use the same size whereas the guy in the shop said that you don't as you can take off the sides of the ovens and measure where the pans will sit and that is enough.
The rangehood would be built in and the chimney built up around it. Just that we are having heaps of trouble trying to find a 900mm rangehood at a reasonable price and the smaller ones have a bigger range at a more affordable price.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
