Browse Forums Kitchen Appliances 1 May 27, 2011 7:14 pm Hi All We are in the midst of renovating and am looking for some standalone cooker recommendations. Although a Wolf would be fantastic unfortunately our $$ don't extend to that. We've looked at Bertazzoni and Ilve so in that price point would be preferable ($5,000-$6,000). Firstly any feedback on Bertazzoni or Ilve? The two we are comparing have gas cooktop and electric oven - Bertazzoni Professional Series X366MFEX and Ilve P80WMP or P90 6 burner. Anything else we should consider in that price range? Do you know of any retailers offering some great deals on these products? Many thanks in advance for your help! BF Re: Standalone Cooker Recommendations 2May 27, 2011 9:45 pm I persoanlly would not suggest Italian cooktops manufacturers I rather go for sure things aussie like Highland range of cooktops they are very good and powerful but expensive http://www.highland.com.au/products.aspx Re: Standalone Cooker Recommendations 3May 29, 2011 9:59 am grinder I persoanlly would not suggest Italian cooktops manufacturers I rather go for sure things aussie like Highland range of cooktops they are very good and powerful but expensive http://www.highland.com.au/products.aspx Thank you so much for your response. I have looked at the Highland range but unfortunately was above our price range. We were wanting a freestanding cooker ... Anyone able to recommend some of the better ones or is there nothing in the price range were looking at worth considering? Re: Standalone Cooker Recommendations 5Jun 19, 2011 4:15 pm We put a 90cm duel fuel Ilve in our last kitchen and love love loved it!! I too would kill for a Wolf in our new kitchen but sadly the little red knobs will have to wait a little longer. We'll definitely put in another Ilve. I wouldn't consider another brand. Thank you so much for your feedback. I did end up purchasing a Bertazzoni in the end although won't have it for another month at least. I saw some good reviews on American sites - due to it being for the American market there was more feedback compared to Ilve. It was a tough decision but hopefully I will love it! 2 15443 Really tight at the top of the stairs- how to get furniture into those rooms? Study books - does anyone really use them these days? Large storage closet would be more functional. 2 6882 I do enjoy the drama:-D In his latest two videos he has started bringing security guards to site, I am waiting for the punch on to begin lol 6 45484 |
