Browse Forums Kitchen Appliances 1 Apr 26, 2011 12:29 am Hi All, I'm currently in the process of choosing kitchen appliances for my new house, and I'm caught in a dilemma, to go with a freestanding oven or not? I'm looking for a 900-1200 wide dual fuel freestander with 2 ovens and gas cooktop. So far the ones that have caught my eye are the Falcon, Belling, Smeg and Bertazzoni, obviously these range quite extensively in price, but I'm willing to pay extra for quality. It seems people generally only post bad experiences on the web these days, and I'm hoping for some positive feed back from someone that owns a freestanding oven and can reccomend it. My main concern is putting all of my eggs in one basket so to speak with an expensive freestander as opposed to going dual wall ovens. I love the look and functionality of the freestander though. Can anyone help me decide? Thanks, Essy Re: Freestanding Oven or not? 3Apr 26, 2011 10:47 am kyton Have a Falcon 1100 Toledo. Love it - no issues after 15mths in home. No kickboard - the stove came with a vented kickboard like panel. Some things are worth waiting for. Bathroom renovation will likely include a back-to-corner bath and we’re considering a freestanding tap with hand-held shower such as the picture included.
