We are looking for a rangehood for our kitchen reno and would like the type that has the motor inside the roof cavity(to reduce in kitchen noise) and exhausts the air out of the roof via flu
Does anyone have one installed in their place and whats your experience with it.. Good/bad/recommend it?
Thanks in advance
PS-cooktop is electric/600mm ceramic (not induction)

We're getting a Schweigen.
as you described, the motor is in the roof and they are very quite.
Other brands are Qasair and Whispair.
Selling point of the Schweigen was they have a more slimline style canopy design and they now have a 10yr motor guarantee on all of their models not just the iso-drive. The iso drives are about $2600 for 900mm but well worth it if you do a lot of asian/indian/aromatic cooking
