Hi,
We are looking around for our kitchen appliances. Can anyone recommend a great place to buy them in Vic? Anyone bought online? We are thinking of going with Bosch or Chef.
Thanks

Glad to hear that you were happy with their service. thanks too Jazz. We are just in the initial research stage, so your thoughts and advice are really appreciated. Think we'll get clearer about what models/brands we want by going into the stores and then see how their prices compare to onlineappliances. Re: Where to buy ovens, rangehood, cooktop, dishwasher? 5Jun 18, 2010 8:27 am Try E&S Trading. We got everything from there and they will do great deals if package everything. On a unit by unit price everything was about 10% less that Good Guys and 20% less than HN. Also there aftersales service is out of this world. That is what they have really built their brand on and they have bent over backwards for us and that is very important when you are doing a renovation because things will need tweaking. We just bought all our stuff from E&S trading too. No complaints here and good prices. Ours is a 15 place setting and it can take everything, easy to use and cleans very well. Very solid feeling racks and iterior as well. You virtually cannot hear it when it is on. Only problem is it is a bit more expensive than most options. Re: Where to buy ovens, rangehood, cooktop, dishwasher? 11Jun 23, 2010 9:09 am Yep Bosch has been excellent compared to the Asko / F&P / Dishlex we have previously had. Super quiet and huge - perfect for a growing family. Some things are worth waiting for. Re: Where to buy ovens, rangehood, cooktop, dishwasher? 12Jun 23, 2010 9:52 am First few uses of my Boshch dishwasher, I would put my ear up to the machine Thought I'd pressed the wrong buttons & it wasn't working It's magically quiet .... everyone here seems to have the same opinion Jazz Life is like a lolly, suck it and see Re: Where to buy ovens, rangehood, cooktop, dishwasher? 13Jun 23, 2010 9:31 pm thanks. Think we'll be getting a bosch dishwasher, researched them a lot and seems like they are a great buy. A bit unsure about the oven and cooktop though? Is Westinghouse OK? I have read mixed reviews (including doors shattering!) but the sales guys were recommending them? Really appreciating everyone's thoughts. Re: Where to buy ovens, rangehood, cooktop, dishwasher? 14Jun 24, 2010 8:44 am Hard to recommend cooktop/oven without knowing what sort of budget you have. The prices range so much. But my personal opinion would be to generally save on the cooktop to buy a better oven. I say this because most cooktops are functional. The main differences between a mid range cooktop and top of the range will be style and maybe heat ratings but it is not going to be that much difference. Ovens however do vary greatly in quality between mid range and top of the range. A really good oven will make your kitchen that much more enjoyable as well as making many recipes "fail safe". Look for quadruple glazing (outside stays coolish when on), extendable racks, a very solid "feel" and durable moving parts. I would not worry about pyrolytic as it is quite expensive for what it actually does. I would aslo not worry too much about multiple functions. If you shop for "base' model Miele, Siemens, Neff you will get German engineering with extendable racks and quadruple glazing and an oven that will still be going strong iin 15 years time. Re: Where to buy ovens, rangehood, cooktop, dishwasher? 15Jun 25, 2010 3:49 pm We are currently looking at dishwashers and have been recommended Miele or Asko. Of those Asko seems to be the preferred option. I like the fact that Asko has a fixed pipe for water, therefore no leakage. All the others have pipes that connect and disconnect each time the basket gets pulled out. We are replacing a Bosch (that died due to a power surge) Can't say I was ever enamoured with the Bosch or the wash job it gave. Miele and Asko currently have $200- off offer until 30th June I am installing a new Bosch SMU4HTS01A built under dushwasher. I have 2 questions.
