Browse Forums Kitchen Appliances 1 May 31, 2010 10:38 pm Hi all Finally have narrowed down appliance choices to the list below (its a jungle out there !!!) Any comments ,reviews, ideas or recommendations on the products would be appreciated ! Cheers Oven (Gas UnderBench) Westinghouse GGP475W/S or Belling S600GR Rotostar Cooktop Bosch - PCR915B90A Rangehood Omega -OR907CXA Dishwasher Bosch - SMS63M08AU Re: KITCHEN APPLIANCE HELP 2May 31, 2010 11:00 pm Hiya, I have been in the same minefield recently too. My Kitchen planner was great, she suggested all Bosch appliances. Mine are a little different to your choices though, as we dont have gas where we are in NZ. I chose Bosch oven HBA73B550A, fits a lamb roast. Bosch Combination Oven HBC86K753B. Bosch Ceramic Hob PKN675N14A Bosch Dishwasher SB169M15AU. The dishwasher is supposed to be one of the quietest on the market and its very economical on the water. Makes less noise than the fridge Smeg S/S Fridge SR640XA. I didnt want an external icemaker as they quite often go wrong according to Consumer magazine NZ Good luck. Re: KITCHEN APPLIANCE HELP 3May 31, 2010 11:55 pm I think your choices are great, both of you I see choosing appliances as not just a cooking/storage/cleaning object but as a service package combined. If you go for a company that has an awful customer service team behind the brand then i wouldnt go near them. As a guide, i look at the brands that harvey norman, domayne, david jones and myer carry. The sense in this is they will only carry brands they can trust and in turn will provide trust and return business. Business image and reputation is more important to them than smaller stores..they have more to lose! I love bosch, westinghouse, miele, asko and barazza as my fav however there are many companies and options that are available. I believe alot of the time it does come down to how it looks. If it looks great you tend excuse some of the annoying bits more easily:) Good luck:) If you need a kitchen drawn up, post it on this thread - gotta give me a couple of days though:) viewtopic.php?f=16&t=26892 Re: KITCHEN APPLIANCE HELP 4Jun 02, 2010 12:55 am we have the SMU68M05AU and it is great! I love the cutlery drawer, and because it is the 'built under' model, it looks nice and finished in the kitchen. We have the same kick running in front of it, and the bottom of the door is the same height as the cupboard next to it. We actually chose different brands for all our appliances, but in matching finishes (eg black glass and stainless). We went on function over brand. EG Highland gas cooktop because it has the highest and lowest MJ of a gas cooktop, and it had a ceramic finish (most gas cooktops have a ss finish, but DH wanted ceramic) the oven was ex display and half price, and pyrolitic The rangehood was also on sale, and i liked the look of it. If you've done the research, you will be happy with your choices. I think i will be happy with my choices...i have done my homework and i have seen all the appliances and studied reviews ,all except for the Belling oven!...I believe it is badged Belling but actually a Stoves make ..UK brand that i cant find much info on!Does anybody know their reputation ? Gas built in ovens are so limited in range....it should make it easier to choose but this is the appliance i am stuck on!.. You never have a fridge against wall as you’ve drawn. The doors can’t open past 90 degrees and it’s difficult and maybe impossible to remove drawers 2 15599 No. It's not original. Circa early to mid 90s would be my guess and maybe even as late as early 2000s 1 6631 2 4672 |
