Browse Forums Kitchen Appliances 1 Jan 15, 2010 12:21 pm Hi, Anyone know of a decent size fridge with 'no plumbing' water dispenser, something in the range of 600> Litres? Cheers Dave. Re: Fridge with no Plumbing 2Jan 15, 2010 3:01 pm Electrolux http://www.electrolux.com.au/node38.asp ... ctId=37727 Or the Westinghouse version http://www.westinghouse.com.au/node38.a ... ctId=25661 These are 610L so slightly more volume. I have seen both in person and they have very good quality fittings. Re: Fridge with no Plumbing 3Jan 15, 2010 3:17 pm A friend has the Westinghouse version and is very happy with it. I have been looking at Retravision and Harvey Norman and have been given advice to try and stick to locally made/serviced product. Westinghouse and Electrolux were the brands recommended to me. I happen to like some of the bigger Samsung Fridge/Freezers with the ice maker/water (we are having it plumbed at time of building) however apparently Samsung use complicated technology in their appliances which are fine when they are working, however if they break down they are hard to repair. Good luck and let us know what you decide on. We ended up going with the Electrolux 700L with the icemaker as we also liked the Samsung for the amount of space it had Re: Fridge with no Plumbing 5Jan 15, 2010 3:30 pm Hi EKT Not sure what we'll settle with. I thought Westinghouse but I could do with the extra space and the just don't go big enough. One of the coolest features that my friend Nikki loves is that she can chill a bottle of wine in around 5 minutes - it beeps too to remind you to take it out. So cool and good for those days where you feel challenged, have a glass of wine and your worries fade away. No I'm not an alchoholic but it sux really bad when all you've got is a warm bottle in your cabinet. I'll check out the Electrolux fridge/freezers. I so had my heart on a Samsung but for that kind of money, I don't want any problems and would rather take heed of advice from those in the know.
