Browse Forums Kitchen Appliances 1 Nov 11, 2009 2:51 pm The way my kitchen layout is looking, an under-bench oven is going to be my best bet (not utopic for me, but a compromise). I really like the idea of a double oven, but can't seem to find a double under-bench unit anywhere. I came across some fantastic range cookers that come in 900mm width with a double oven which would be great, but they are all $7K+ whereas I wanted to spend less than $5K on my cooktop and oven, so I was wondering whether anyone knows of any double underbench ovens, or inexpensive range cookers with double ovens? Thanks ! Jo Re: Double underbench oven/inexpensive range cooker with double? 2Nov 11, 2009 3:08 pm We are getting our Ilve cooktop (flushline 90cm gas) and underbench double oven for $5700 - normal retail price for these was well over $8000. We are getting them from Clive Anthonys. The oven was $2900 so maybe you could get a cheaper model cooktop to stay under the $5000 as ours was a more expensive model. Re: Double underbench oven/inexpensive range cooker with double? 3Nov 11, 2009 3:51 pm How about putting 2 single ovens side-by-side? It's often a cheaper option. (More often the manufacturers put a much higher margin on the more up-market models, like the double ovens.) Re: Double underbench oven/inexpensive range cooker with double? 4Nov 11, 2009 5:56 pm ^^That's what we are doing. 2 single 600mm underbench ovens, 900mm cooktop and 900mm rangehood. They will all be Blanco. Sorry, I can't help you with price, they were a standard part of our build. This our kitchen set-up.... sorry the actual asppliances aren't installed yet, but it gives an idea. (see link: http://www.ilve.com.au/pdf/TD90WMP.pdf) Both are well under $7000. Can't remember the prices but I think the Smeg is cheaper than the ILVE. Re: Double underbench oven/inexpensive range cooker with double? 6Nov 12, 2009 5:54 pm Thanks guys - I really like the look of that Smeg one ! Does anyone know if a 30cm wide oven is functional? Can you generally fit a reasonable sized casserole dish or standard oven tray in there sideways? And is it possible to make a freestanding stove look integrated with the cabinet work? Re: Double underbench oven/inexpensive range cooker with double? 7Nov 12, 2009 7:22 pm This thread talks about kickers under freestanding cookers: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=25309 I like the idea of two separate underbench ovens. If you ever have a problem with one, the other one would still be working. I also remember someone saying they had a matching 60cm oven and a 60cm convection microwave which had a downward opening door the same as the regular oven. 2 15464 Hi Chippy, no there isn't, gave it a really good look through and literally opened everything and checked all edges as well. Hence the question, just hoping someone would… 2 2083 My daughter and son in law are about to start building, they are having a 600mm induction cook top and 900mm oven.
