I hate the functional obsolescence that often is a feature of mainstream consumer goods. Where I can, I try to buy commercial rated goods. They are usually twice the price but ten x the performance. http://www.productreview.com.au/showite ... em_id=1155 Now I am looking at DWs at around the 1000-1300 mark - its a hard choice because there is a lot of choice (if that makes sense)... Good luck with your hunt! Re: Dishwasher Recommendations? 34Jun 16, 2007 9:33 pm We have just moved into a brand new rental (long story but we're out of the old place we were in while we wait for our house to be finished - well, started and then finished!) and they have just installed a "Nightingale"dishwasher - which I've never heard of before. Funny part is that the top water spinner thing that is just under the top basket hits on the dinner plates and doesn't spin = dirty dishes when they're supposed to be clean ![]() Long story short - make sure the dishwasher will fit your plates! P.S we have the Technika TBD4 Bellissimo included with our house (promo), but I can't find any reviews or where even stocks them. I'd love to know what we're getting, but eh, it's free so I ain't complaining. ~Ray. Second Time 'Round Re: Dishwasher Recommendations? 35Jun 16, 2007 10:30 pm ![]() I was keen on the F&P Dish Drawers until I saw this site: http://www.productreview.com.au/showite ... em_id=1155 We had a Dishdrawer in our old house and loved it !! It was 8 years old when we moved and still going strong. Only ever had F&P out once to fix it. It was out of warranty but as it was only out by a couple of months they didn't charge anything ! We have found F&P's after sales service fantastic. Re: Dishwasher Recommendations? 37Jun 17, 2007 1:26 pm When is comes to dishwashers and washing machines
It is MIELE ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Not cheap but top value for your money !!!!! Re: Dishwasher Recommendations? 38Jun 18, 2007 12:08 pm Everywhere we went sales people were pushing the Miele and the Bosch. We are getting a Smeg oven and also enquired about their dishwashers but most sales people said to stay away from them (along with all minor Smeg appliances) as they are just rebadged and are not really "Smeg" appliances. At the end of the day we couldn't justify the extra couple of hundred dollars for the Miele (as practical as they maybe, they're quite fugly) and ended up with a nice looking Bosch. Re: Dishwasher Recommendations? 40Jun 18, 2007 5:17 pm We also have a F+P Dish Drawer. It's now 7 years old and apart from a microprocessor going bust (I think) and another issue (a drop of water hit one of the controls and changed the water pressure from high to low (??)) it's been very good. Mind you, I rinse the dishes before they go in - does anyone else do that?
Oh, I don't like the fact that the power comes on every time you open the drawer. DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair You could use thermal imaging camera to detect water pipes. You should be able to get a low end version of it for around $250 from AliExpress. 2 5502 4 2522 ![]() Hi Alec, I’ve only just found this so if you have commenced a build, hope all is going well.
