I wonder if those drawers adjust. i've already paid for my asko so there is no changing possible which is a good thing as i make enough changes to my kitchen design. I do love choice testing though. Re: Dishwasher review - Pros & Cons ?? 22Aug 25, 2009 3:00 am I'm wondering if anyone can tell me the average run time of the Asko 3122 as compared to other brands (Bosch, Miele). I've been able to find energy stats and noise levels, but nothing about running time. US will soon be offering rebates (late Fall) for Energy Star appliances so I'm starting my research now. For example, at a local store, G2283 RRP $2299 going for $1839. Re: Dishwasher review - Pros & Cons ?? 27Sep 03, 2009 4:06 pm ^^ me too Once my house is built i'll be installing a dishwasher, so i'll be doing a heap of researching in a couple of months so i'll probably layby one! viewtopic.php?f=31&t=22766 - my build thread! Time waits for no man. Unless that man is Chuck Norris. Re: Dishwasher review - Pros & Cons ?? 28Sep 08, 2009 11:41 am I read through nearly all of the comments on productreview for Miele and Bosch dishwashers. Ive been told Miele is the bees knees by many people. But reading alot of reviews there seems to be a common issue with cockroaches or bugs getting into the electronic control panel and killing it! It was at least a $500 fix ..(more in some cases). There were that many of the same complaint that there has to be something to it. That said.. we have a Miele at home and its never had an issue. Was in the house when it was bought.. so not to sure on its age. It has the cutlery drawer at the top which is great but I find it quite useless when it comes to wine glasses of all shapes and sizes. Out of all the reviews the Bosch dishwashers seemed to have the most consistently positive feedback. So based on that ... and the fact that Bosch are slightly cheaper than Miele.. we will prob go with a Bosch. Re: Dishwasher review - Pros & Cons ?? 29Sep 16, 2009 11:50 pm Update... we've just put in a Bosch, and for a torture test I put in our grill pan after cooking some some chops and t-bone on it and selected the 'intensive zone' option. Normally after grilling I have to attack it with a scourer and it takes ages cleaning around all the grill ridges. The Bosch cleaned it completely, better than I'd ever managed to even when scouring. So yay for Bosch! I'm sure a Miele would be able to do it too but the equivalent model Miele was a grand more... and we also liked the fact that Bosch puts all their profits that don't go back into the company into socially responsible programs around the world. Thudd, Which model did you end up getting? I'm starting to get confused with all of the options, i think i might just end up picking one on recommendation. The torture test sounds great. Thanks Katherine Re: Dishwasher review - Pros & Cons ?? 31Sep 18, 2009 11:28 am katherineandadrian Which model did you end up getting? I'm starting to get confused with all of the options, i think i might just end up picking one on recommendation. The torture test sounds great. We bought the premium fully integrated model: http://www.boschappliances.com.au/conte ... gory_id=51 Choosing a fully integrated model greatly reduces the available models across all brands, and I really wanted the upper cutlery drawer (which really is a space saver with no cutlery basket! Although we talked the shop into throwing in a basket any for the times we might want it). We also usually have lots of pots so I wanted a model with the fully flexible racks. Most of the wash features however are available on a number of their other models. Re: Dishwasher review - Pros & Cons ?? 33Sep 19, 2009 1:40 pm We had Bosch in a serviced apartment last week. This particular model was very annoying. The door kept springing back closed if the bottom drawer wasn't pulled out. I didn't know if it was a true fault or design fault. The old Asko we have has a balanced sprung door so that it remains in whatever position you leave it in without snapping closed or dropping out by its weight. Re: Dishwasher review - Pros & Cons ?? 35Sep 19, 2009 2:55 pm Just remember Choice dont test the machines everyday for years and years. Everything will work well when brand new but you want it to work well for a very long time. I'll be getting the Miele G2243 SCi (i think thats it) $2300 but I am willing slurge because I have had Mieles before and they are fantasic. Asko is also up there but Bosch.... well from experience - not that great after a while... [JADED] Ive been told Miele is the bees knees by many people. But I'm kind of glad it did - I had no idea I had cockroaches in the kitchen!!! and baits from Woolies fixed the problem and it never happened again (and I could sleep at night knowing the damn things were gone) They were those little german cockroaches... where is Miele made??
