Browse Forums Kitchen Appliances 1 Jun 08, 2009 7:23 pm Has anyone got a Blanco oven. I have a new one and it has a couple of very strange wire racks attached to the other racks and I have no idea what they are for they are smaller than the normal racks and they kind of hook onto them. No mention of them in the users guide Re: Blanco oven + weird racks I have no idea wot they r for 2Jun 08, 2009 10:10 pm Um. Mine has a handle-thing that's intended to clip on to pull out the griller tray. I never use it, just use a pot holder. Actually I never use the griller - too messy, that's what barbecues are for. Which model do you have? Re: Blanco oven + weird racks I have no idea wot they r for 3Jun 09, 2009 10:06 am kek Um. Mine has a handle-thing that's intended to clip on to pull out the griller tray. It is a BOSE752 and I think that's what mine look like too, but I reckon it's more trouble than grabbing it with a t-towel. Stupid things Re: Blanco oven + weird racks I have no idea wot they r for 4Jun 09, 2009 9:59 pm Mr B knew this answer They are supposed to be attached to the back of the oven for when you cook roasts as they stop the fat from flying onto the back wall. He also said you are not meant to use them for other type of baking. Does this sound like the smallish racks you were talking about...we also have a brand new blanco oven Mrs B Re: Blanco oven + weird racks I have no idea wot they r for 5Jun 10, 2009 10:46 am Mrs B Mr B knew this answer They are supposed to be attached to the back of the oven for when you cook roasts as they stop the fat from flying onto the back wall. I think one of them may be the 'griller-pully-out' thing that kek mentioned, (1 mystery solved) and the other is an X shaped thing. Any ideas on that one? I have no idea about the other one! Yes, that "griller-pully-out" thing thing is the same but I don't have an X shaped "Dooverlacky" I actually have 2 "griller-pully-out" things AND....AND YES the "seriously-lacking-on-information" booklet was "seriously-lacking-on-information" WTF!!! how useless was that!!! and I don't recall seeing the cover for fatty food cooking I had an old shower unit that broke on me and when I took it off, there were only 2 water pipes, instead of the normal 2 water pipes and a shower head pipe.
