In the past I tried the baby oil on my kettle and after a while it left a sticky residue no matter how little I used. Now I just do the mf thing and make sure to dry. I think windex would probably be good for greasy or stubbourn marks but I would still make sure to rinse it all off and dry. My favourite mf cloths are the ones you buy in the discount shops ($2 shop, reject shop etc). 3 for $5.00 - nice and thin- can be wrung out nearly dry. Have just discovered it cleans ceasarstone benchtops and stainless steel stoves absolutely brilliantly!! I pour some on the stove and benchtop, then use a wrung damp sponge to clean. It is sooo much better than the spray stainless steel and stone benchtop cleaners I 'was' using. They could not be cleaner. . I am in love with vinegar, chemical free too. Weird I know but try it, I use it on my fridge, dishwasher, oven, rangehood and cooktop and everything comes up great! I always had trouble keeping my gas cooktop clean, but once the foodstuff has been removed, I just give a quick squirt with Windex and wipe with a cloth of papertowel and it comesup like new.
