Browse Forums Kitchen Appliances 1 Jun 10, 2021 11:32 am Hi, yesterday I had a new dishwasher delivered. I'm looking forward to getting it all up and running, but I've a couple of probably very easy questions. First, there's grey lever / tab thing you can see on the first picture. It seems to move back and forth and I can pull it out. I can't seem to find any reference to it on the instructions, but I assume I just pull it out. Is that correct? I'm assuming I should leave both installed, but a lot of the pictures I can see make it look they shouldn't be there. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Any advice would be appreciated! Re: Installing Bosch SMS46GW01A Dishwasher - Under bench 4Jun 10, 2021 2:17 pm dracnath I hate to tell you but you may struggle to run your kick board through with that dishwasher. It's a free standing model which is designed as a standalone machine (similar to a washing machine). It already has a kickboard attached and the way the door swings probably won't allow the kickboard to run through. You may get lucky but it's normally the under bench model that would have been preferable. The one you have got will be fine, but may not be able to give you that "built in look" you wanted. Hopefully it works out for you. The kids are usually heavy to act as a counter weight for when you open the dishwasher and there is nothing holding it in place. Once it's under a bench you don't need the counter weight so can remove the top. But it doesn't change the design at the bottom where the kickboard would run through.
