Browse Forums Kitchen Appliances Re: Is it safe to use steam oven after 2-3 years not used? 2Nov 16, 2021 3:41 pm ![]() I have a Miele steam oven that stoped working a couple of years ago and finally took it out to get it looked at and it requires a new board - around $500. I’m happy to go ahead with the repair, however once it is up and going again, are there any parts in the steam system that may have corroded over this time? Obviously I’d run a descaler through it first, but I’m just not sure about the internal parts of steam ovens or whether there is a risk of any corroded metals or plastics could end up in the steam circuit that would contaminate food? Hi I don't know exactly, but before using the oven call an expert to check it. listen to the expert's opinion then decide My daughter and son in law are about to start building, they are having a
