Browse Forums Kitchen Appliances Re: Advice on appliances: Blanco oven and AEG cooktop 7Nov 01, 2011 10:50 am monkeyupatree I have a blanco oven, 600mm and I hate it. First thing is if the power goes out I need to reset the clock, I dont find that terribly easy (the instructions are pathetic), before it will turn on and heat up. Second thing is the hum that happens when the fan is on, and I dont mean a gentle hum...this is an awful loud noise sounds like something is vibrating against it ...but what I dont know, and the longer its on the louder it gets. Third thing is the panel that shows the time has come unglued and the little dials for the clock that sit in it, have fallen out, and cant be put back .... not so much of a problem in itself, until you add it to the first thing I hate about the oven. If our power goes out, I cant set the clock which means I cant turn on the oven! As I said instructions are hopeless and I got accessories that I dont know what they are meant to do...nothing in the manual at all about it. Considering it came from the house builder it probably is one of the cheapest ones available, but when we finally are able to upgrade (and fingers cross we dont have any power outages until then) I am not going to buy a blanco. I agree whole heartedly as both my appliances (Oven and Dishwasher) did not last long out of warrenty- never again will I buy that product. The dishwasher nearly burn't my new kitchen out. The oven just burn't the element out, cheaper to buy a new oven but not a Blameco! My daughter and son in law are about to start building, they are having a 600mm induction cook top and 900mm oven. It's personal preferance 5 13040 Hi Chippy, no there isn't, gave it a really good look through and literally opened everything and checked all edges as well. Hence the question, just hoping someone would… 2 2518 Versaloc is a mortarless besser block system that still needs a properly engineered footing. If you just do a 400x200 footing it will fail in time. At 17m long you need it… 1 22330 |
