Browse Forums Kitchen Appliances 1 Sep 19, 2011 4:05 pm Hi all Just a quick question. Does a fully integrated dishwasher need a door handle on the cabinetry door? I am having a handle-less kitchen and would like a fully integrated dishwasher. But I'm not sure if they can still be opened with the cabinet door on the front, without a handle? This is probably a silly question, but i cant find the answer to it anywhere. Thanks DanniB BLOG: thehousewebuilt2010.blogspot.com (And are still building!) Re: Does a fully integrated dishwasher need a handle??? 2Sep 19, 2011 4:38 pm Yes you still need a handle. It depends on what handleless system you are using as to how it is set up. Unless the handle less door has a good and deep groove for you to grip on, a fully integrated dishwasher with a proper handle is much easier to open because the door is heavier than other cupboard doors and the dishwasher is usually engaged with the latch when it's in closed position. 2 2907 I am installing a new Bosch SMU4HTS01A built under dushwasher.
