Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Oct 01, 2008 12:10 pm Hi We have had to change our colours - tiles, caeserstone and cupboards, due to the huge prices they were going to charge us for our tile selections ..
So we are now going with Almond Rocca Caeserstone and Laminex 'Alabaster' for the cupboards. I don't have samples of either, and since I had to choose colours today, and I am at work!! , I am worried what they will look like together.. Our splashback will be a beige gloss tile, and the floor will be a timber look PVC. Any help appreciated. -Sha ( Who is freaking out right about now!!!) Hi Sha, I'm having Alabaster Laminex throughout my whole house (with CS Ice Snow), except in 2 pac in the kitchen. It's a lovely warm white without being too yellow. I can tell you now, it looks grey on my screen in the above image, but it's not on the sample I have in my hand! My only concern I have with it is it could look 'dirty' up against a stark white tile or fridge, but I'm hoping it won't! It can also reflect a bit of pink...the larger sample I saw did slightly against floor boards. I'd love to show you photos, but my house hasn't even started! The ONLY way you are going to get a true feel of the two colours together, is to see the samples. Pictures over the internet is never a true representation of colour. Here it is in my kitchen colour board (paint, glass splash, CS and Alabaster): Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Good Luck!! Henley - Wilshire Mk 3 ... I love my house!! You have given me confidence. Your colours look great! We originally chose Caesarstone Ice Snow (with other tiles and cupboards), but now, with the white cupboards, I thought a nice creamy/ light beige will look good.. which is what I am hoping the almond rocca looks like I want the effect of a nice, clean, bright kitchen, without going too stark.. I am hoping the beige tiles wont be too 'blah' with the bench now and our wall paint is Taubman's Shell Stone, which is a slightly beige colour. It is sooo hard to pull the whole kitchen colours together while at work! -Sha Re: Almond Rocca and Alabaster Laminex 4Oct 02, 2008 2:47 pm We also have alabaster for our kitchen cupboards and it looks great - really light without being a stark white. We have ceasarstone Osprey for benchtops which compliments it beautifully and I also think the almond rocca would look great (I remember the sample of this and it does look creamy/beige). Re: Almond Rocca and Alabaster Laminex 5Oct 02, 2008 2:52 pm Any chance you could post some pics, Pixie? I'd be interested to see them, as I chose my kitchen through samples!
What sort of flooring have you got in your kitchen? Henley - Wilshire Mk 3 ... I love my house!! I don't have a decent picture yet as last time we were there everything was covered up for the painters.
I will take some photos next time we are there and post them for you (if I can figure out how). I recently went through a similar renovation and move scenario when updating our family home.
