Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Sep 22, 2008 10:50 pm I'm new here and have spent past few days browsing the forums. You guys are just fantastic.
We are currently builiding our new home and now need to start thinking about render colours. We love classic neutral colour scheme, but also like to inject a bit of contrast with our feature wall (we've used Austral Zinc as you can see from the picture below). We can't change any of the existing colours but will get the render and stacked stone done until after handover. Here are the details: Feature Wall Bricks: Austral Zinc with off white mortar joints Porch Pilon: Stacked Stone as per picture below, maybe go bit lighter Render: Need help, thinking of paperbark, but could go bit darker like British Paints Peppermill or Faded feather? Roof Tiles: Monier Barramundi Windows: Timber - New Teak Front Door: Timber - New Teak Gutter, Fascia, Downpipes: Dune Garage door: Dune Driveway and Path: exposed aggregate sandy colours I'm thinking of Colorbond Paperbark or British Paints Peppermill for the render, any suggestions? I'd really appreciate your thoughts. First of all beautiful massive facade If i were you, i will go for lighter stack stones with a little darker render to match the bricks, so that render comes up as a feature. I like Faded Leather better than Peppermill and CB Paperbark. But its just me and ny 2 cents worth. Michelle will give you her insight soon and i always rely on her suggestions. Good luck Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Exterior Colours - please help! 3Sep 23, 2008 5:45 pm British Paints???
Do they still make paint? By the way here’s their website, not bad! http://britishpaints.com.au/index.asp?page=48 Well looks like the colours aren’t going to load! But what I saw of them looked great! I love the depth of colour. I quite liked Peppermill, being slightly darker than Faded Feather. It should blend very nicely with your timber windows. I also prefer the last Stack stone with the Peppermill Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com Re: Exterior Colours - please help! 4Sep 23, 2008 5:50 pm Ohh, and don’t take the Paperbark colour to truth on the site, its nothing like the real colour, unless they are just copping the name.
