Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Sep 21, 2008 9:25 pm AH I have so many colours floating in my head I dont even know up from down.
We are having a latte coloured tile (sort of pale milky coffee colour) In the kitchen my thoughts are Lower cupboard doors - Chocolatte Parbury Panelart Upper cupboard doors - Pepperdust Parbury Panelart. Ceaserstone benchtops - Cannot decide between Ice Snow and Osprey. Please feel free to critique I need advice. I was also thinking of maybe just doing all the cupboards in the chocolatte And what colour for the glass splashback....... This is a really nice combination, well done here. As you can see I’ve gone with the Ospray as it has more of your cupboard colours in it. I would look for a soft latte colour for your splash back. Have a look at Dulux “Gustav” or “Barren” Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com Re: What do you think of this colour combo for our kitchen 5Sep 22, 2008 6:57 pm Thankyou Michelle I feel so much better knowing you give it the thumbs up!!
Can I ask would you do the two toned cupboards and if so , keeping in mind the floors are a latte milky coffee colour, would you do dark on bottom light on top? Which colour would you have for the back of the island bench Penny? Jo I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: What do you think of this colour combo for our kitchen 10Sep 23, 2008 5:42 pm Holding the samples to the tile today I have had another thought.
Perhaps Shadow by Parbury Panelart is a better colour it is quite similar in colour to our tile and was thinking of Tiles : latte colour (think it is called lithic noche by beaumont) Lower cupboards: Parbury Panelart Chocolatte Benches: Osprey ceaserstone Splash back ????? Upper cupboards: Parbury panelart Shadow Paint We are thinking Fair Bianca half strength. Based on the size of the kitchen posted above can I get away with 2 tone cupboards??? Would these colours work better?? Re: What do you think of this colour combo for our kitchen 11Sep 23, 2008 5:47 pm Penny, if you are interested inShadow, the Mercer out at the Tarneit display centre uses Shadow in the kitchen.... might be worth going out there to have a look.
This basic kitchen layout is in the Broadview, Grandview and Mercer.... I lot of those use two tone... get along to some Mercers and Grandviews and check out the kitchens.... very similar.... I reckon you can use two-tone..... I am! (Except the Grandview at Caroline Springs which has a totally different kitchen! ) Jo I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: What do you think of this colour combo for our kitchen 12Sep 23, 2008 5:55 pm Yep you can do two tone in such an open space.
Lovely kitchen and yes similar to Jo’s. Check out the display homes, at least you will know what the colour looks like. Make sure you have samples of the other colours you want to use, so you can hold them up against the colour. Get back to me when you have done this. I do this all the time.
If you see something you like.... ask them to look it up on the computer and maybe print you out a colour schedule for the house.... I have a heap of these and find them super helpful for picking colours..... A lot of display centres won't do it... but once you mention you're building with them they're pretty good. I need a laugh. I don’t think they will say anything. More than likely they will assume you are building the same house. I decided there were too many mushroom/latte colours (the tiles the laminex my couch ) Soooooooo have decided on :- Kitchen cupboards : - All white Ceaserstone benchtop - White (not sure yet if ice snow or osprey) Glass splashback - A rich deep chocolate colour The island bench - the laminated area (not sure what it is called) on the front of the island bench (where bar stools would be tucked into) at the moment looking at Parbury Panelart concept oak. What do you think Michelle?? I did see a pic of what I am after I will see if I can scan it. We need to pic a dulux colour for the walls. I want a white paint. We are having latte/milky coffee tiles I was thinking fair bianca (full or 1/2 strength) is there any other white that looks good with warm/earthy tones? Re: What do you think of this colour combo for our kitchen 19Sep 28, 2008 7:02 pm Try Dulux Lexicon ¼…not bad. One last question. (before I move onto my bathroom ) the benchtop!! Cost wise would prefer to stay with cat ceaserstone which means ice snow or osprey. Could perhaps upgrade to either snow or nougat. I do like the larger flecks in the ice snow/nougat What do you think? No. It's not original. Circa early to mid 90s would be my guess and maybe even as late as early 2000s 1 6632 Hey all, Hoping for some inspiration for my bathroom laundry combo.
