Me again. We finally sign on the dotted line for our new kitchen this weekend. I would really like your opinion on the colour (or lack of) that we have selected. Do you think it will be too insipid if we use Pure Mineralstone Diamondgloss by Laminex for the benchtops and then use just a white sheen or gloss on the cupboards? We will also use a little bit of the Mushroom Linea Natural Finish (Laminex) under the breakfast bar as this will be almost a part of the lounge room and I wanted to dull down the very white look of the kitchen. It will also appear on the side of a display cabinet in the kitchen, but everything else will end up pretty white. Our kitchen is a U shape with loads of sunlight in the mornings. Thanks Lin Re: Kitchen Colours 2Sep 17, 2008 9:21 pm Hi Paddy05
Sorry I'm not Michelle! BUT, I just wanted to say I think that selection will look great ..... we are having a similar colour to our benchtop - it is Casearstone Nova Aurora but looks VERY similar to Pure Mineralstone (which I'm having in my pantry!). And I am having all white cabinetry. I think it is going to look amazing What colour is your splashback going to be? Re: Kitchen Colours 3Sep 17, 2008 10:05 pm Hi,
I'm looking forward to seeing reply's as I have picked a very similar colour scheme for my new townhouse. I've got Casearstone in Ice snow (which I think is similar to your bench top colour) and designer white in gloss for the cupboards. Think it should look great! (fingers crossed) ps.... I'm new here, so hello to everyone. I've been enjoying reading all your decorating ideas Re: Kitchen Colours 4Sep 17, 2008 10:55 pm Hi, we had that coulor combo in our last house - the mushroom linea was on the breasfast bar as well.
The perfect colour to match for the splashback is Bleached Bark (dulux). M!ssy ps.... I'm new here, so hello to everyone. We haven't selected a splashback. That will be last with the floor tiles. Keep you posted. Paula, you don't happen to have a photo of your old kitchen you could post by any chance? I'd love to see it. Lin Re: Kitchen Colours 7Sep 18, 2008 5:05 pm Hi,
here is a pic of the mushroom linea on the island bench with the bleached bark in the background Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ This is a closer one of the splashback http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii130/johnspj_photos/P8070047.jpg Paula Re: Kitchen Colours 8Sep 18, 2008 5:59 pm I don’t have the Mineral Stone, neither does Laminex.
Are you sure you don’t mean Mineral Harmony? http://www.laminex.com.au/images/sample ... lstone.jpg Personally I think that this colour is a bit bland...especially if you are going for sheen or gloss white doors, but having said that it is probably what I would consider to be the nicest light coloured pattern in the diamondgloss range - Laminex have recently deleted some of what I believe to be their more interesting colours... Don't talk to me about Laminex reps...I only have the latest samples because it has taken them a year and a half to finally get me a full set of sample boards. We selected the Pure Mineralstone Diamond Gloss as it is as far removed from the yellowish walls that we have (and hate) I didn't want anything with a yellow base or cream/yellow base as I am over it. Every wall in our house is the same. Re: Kitchen Colours 17Sep 18, 2008 9:13 pm Sorry…..working on my novel, I will have another look for you tomorrow!
