Design my lounge room please!

Hi all,

I don’t know where to start with this room, it’s very very light filled and beautiful and then I’ve got white lounges and dreadful down lights everywhere, one wall was dark red and I painted it to match the others and now it’s even more plain, where would you put art? And or photos? Large or small? Please help

You have too many down lights IMHO.

Cathedral ceilings look great with wooden beams, though, e.g.:
