Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Sep 04, 2008 1:02 pm Hi guys, just after some feedback on our façade colours. It is a pretty rough photoshop job but it gives you an idea. The house is the H3nley Ascot 483.
All the paint finish/render colours shown are just colours we have created in photoshop and don’t really relate back to any particular colour swatches (yet). The only confirmed colours shown in the photos are as follows: Bricks – Selkirk Blue Rain with off white rolled mortar Roof Tiles – Bristile Charcoal Gutters/fascias – Colorbond Night Sky Downpipes & flashings – Colorbond Jasper Garage panel lift door – Caoba Timber Entrance Door and window frames – Sikkens Stain Walnut Any suggestions would be great as we have our colour appointment next week. It needs to be light, but on my screen it looks a little yellowy.
I'd probably go fore something more boney or stoney than yellowy. Love the red. Sorry for my technical speak. Jo I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. I am after a beige/brown colour but with a grey tinge to it not yellow. We can choose from the Taubmans and Bristol range.
I had another play, it is only a subtle difference but a difference all the same Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Comments on facade colours please 4Sep 04, 2008 3:47 pm Have a look at VJ's thread "Building our dream house". The cladding on the upstairs part of that home is cafe grey (bristol). I'm not sure if that's exactly what you're after but the pics of the house are great.
It might be too grey, but have a look anyway. Jo I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Very nice mix of textures and colours.
Well done. Re: Comments on facade colours please 7Sep 04, 2008 6:21 pm Donuts, you were close...... I was saying it looked good in the same tones but I think like you said, they should match.
Much better idea and thats just a little bit of my OCD coming out re...balance and matching. Snhouse, I have been told to consider with your colours that your eye should bounce to the colours, not stop and start at the colours if that makes sense. Re: Comments on facade colours please 8Sep 04, 2008 9:02 pm I think you need to go more grey up top. At the moment the top half stands out too much as the colours don’t match.
But I really like the look, very nice! I've always wanted to use red on the outside of our house - but was never brave enough, so we're sticking to safe neutrals ZZzzzz
It's going to look fabulous and unique! Re: Comments on facade colours please 10Sep 05, 2008 11:07 am Thanks for all your replies, i will play around with some grey tones.
The upstairs area is actually a textured paint finish on some sort of cladding (not sure what they are using). I have been told by the pro's in the paint shops that the colour should come out quite similar to that shown on the colour cards (compared to rendering when the sand etc can make the colour look different) I'd get the gutters to match your roof and pipes to match the paint - otherwise they become a feature. Nice pick with the paint colours! 1 34266 Thank you @. Tried to play with the facade models but the exact colour is not matching up. 2 3230 Dear Members I have to decide the Facade column size. My custom builder standard is 350mm with rendering, but i asked for 470mm plus stone or tiles and yet to get… 0 7493 |
