So lets talk colour, externals tonight.
While selecting paint colours for the outside of your home you need to take into consideration the natural sun light on those colours through the day. All colours will lighten up at least two shades lighter in the day light. Except black and white, they are simply black and white.... but remember, white will be brighter, you may need to consider your neighbours?
When I select colours for externals I work on two to three shades darker to avoid the wash out in the sunlight, depending on the colours I am working with.
Always buy sample pots to make sure you are happy with the colour on your externals and so you can see the colour both at night and through the day.
Take notice of the house in the photos....the colour is the same as my feature wall in my house.... as you can see I took photos on an over cast day, with a good camera. The finished photo was a professional photo from Scyon on a bright sunny day.
It now looks blue!
If you think you know colour, think again, its a hard medium to play with.
