I have now put together a colour selection for my laundry. I am after everyones opinions good and bad I have kept the same tones throughout the house and I really like the colours I have selected but I have a feeling I am introducing too many colours for one room. The first picture is the right side of the laundry... Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ This picture shows the 3 laminate samples. Top cupboards...... Olive Benchtop .......cosmos Bottom cabinets...walnut veneer, same wood used throughout the house My flow colour is also there and they all work within my colour board. Snuck in an Olive Green I see …….I think you’ve done well, it all works and look fantastic! By the way….I haven’t seen the Cosmos used yet, it’s a nice laminate colour. I don't like to comment on or question your taste. It is impeccable. Looks fantastic to me. I also love the floor tile. Jo I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Mr B saw my first selection and he said...too boring and brown and looks like baby ****! Awful thing was I really liked it, so this is plan B. Mrs B Re: Colours for my laundry 6Aug 26, 2008 9:02 pm Thanks Michelle and Jo I must admit I wasnt expecting positive comments as I thought people may not like the cosmos laminate but this is a laundry and I wanted something a bit funky and different to the rest of the house.
Everytime I think about my laundry I think of Paula Paula, did you notice my built in ironing board...small but at least I might do some ironing now Mrs B Re: Colours for my laundry 7Aug 26, 2008 9:13 pm Mrs B Everytime I think about my laundry I think of Paula Paula, did you notice my built in ironing board...small but at least I might do some ironing now Mrs B Yes I did see that ironing board and wondered "is Mrs B letting me move in ?" I think that is far too stunning for a laundry!! Very classy Nice long laundry as well, lots of storage. I think I must be as eager as you to get it finished to have a look . Great colour - won't show all the clothes and sock fluff on the benchtop either But I wouldn't go brown doors - but then I'm not a browns person. And do you really want to stuck in the Laundry when your ironing. IMO an ironing station should be out of the way but still involved in the family like, rather than shoved in a laundry - just my thougths. So where is my iron, in a spare bedroom / office that overlooks the lounge kitchen area. Steve Re: Colours for my laundry 12Aug 26, 2008 9:35 pm I know she doesn't
I prefer not to as well, but hey most of my shirts are cotton so that means cool comfortable and - need ironing So you'd might as well pop over here to do my ironing too - Need a holiday in SA Re: Colours for my laundry 14Aug 26, 2008 10:01 pm Gorgeous Mrs B, i havent seen the cosmos before and it picks up on the olive and the brown tones... Love the floor tile too!!!
It will look great when it all comes together... When do we get an invite!!! (not for ironing though, will leave that to Paula!!! ) But WOW, its all going to look stunning!!! Well Done!!! Re: Colours for my laundry 16Aug 26, 2008 10:14 pm Mrs B,
Would you believe that Cosmos was our fave Laminex and we were supposed to use it in our laundry? (that's the only area that is not CS). But M doesn't use it anymore! We were forced to choose among the Wilsonart colours! Love it! Love the colour combinations too! Looks like we both like something green, brown and even Cosmos! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Built the Nevada 42 Next project - landscaping! But M doesn't use it anymore! Hi Vj As soon as I saw it I knew that was the top for my laundry...isnt it amazing that we both liked it for our laundries Wonder why M stopped using it. I actually went to the factory showroom of laminex to get all my samples...definately the place to go and see all their products. They even give you big size samples if you ask for it. When you've finished your garden Paula said Seeing as I'm still off the coffee, you all can drink it while I iron as if I'd let someone iron when they were visiting pool yep, sun yep nice day today and cocktails - I've got a great recipe that doesn't leave you with hangover - It's called number uno. Chinzano dry 300mls Malibu 200mls Gin 300ml Mix it together and throw it in the freezer overnight. When you're ready to drink it. Get lots of crushed ice, pour 100 or so mlls into a long tall glass, then lots of pineapple juice to go with it. A superb mix for a hot summers night. and surprisingly - very little after effects the day after. But definitely not ironing time while your drinking it. I think its a Melbourne thing all these brown tones in our houses. If I was doing a beach house, no way would I use brown...it would be white and blue etc As for ironing...just on a need to do it basis definately not on my priority list Mrs B Agreed. I just found out today the certifier has not given the final sign off. 2 4091 Hey all, Hoping for some inspiration for my bathroom laundry combo. The tiles are in good condition, as is the bathtub.
