Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Aug 21, 2008 4:04 pm Hi Michelle, I was just wondering if you could help me out with a decision on my window frames......
I would like almost the same colours as our previous house but this time I would like the same coloured window frames as our garage door. I think it was Colourbond Classic Cream but were also thinking of going an Aluminum colour because of our back windows looking out to the pool.... Which one do you think will blend in more.....I felt my charcoal ones stood out to much last time and I think I would prefer them to blend in.. This was our last house the render colour was Solver Cork and the porch was Solver Crag Grey Sorry about how big this pic is I couldn't reduce it. Thanks PK Re: Help with window frame colour for new home..... 2Aug 21, 2008 6:40 pm Gweluphome, why does it make a difference if the back windows look out to the pool?
You need to look at the over all colours of your home, which one blends better with the wall colour you are having and the garage doors? That would be my main issue, not the pool. I think your last home was lovely, well done! No doubt you will do as good a job this time. One of my concerns was (because as soon as you walk in the house our feature is that you see the pool)....I didn't want it to be as soon as you walk in you see a whole lot of black window frames. So I was thinking a lighter window frame would be bettter for this instance. So because of this thought, I had the other thought of........will these light colour windows look any good with my chosen exterior colours??? Re: Help with window frame colour for new home..... 4Aug 21, 2008 7:00 pm I just looked in the Building section….did you put your colours in there, I couldn’t see them?
What are your external colours? And yes, your right, light coloured windows will frame the pool outlook much better. You can not hang anything on steel frames. very frustrating 8 8057 Its the flashing and is normal. Some builders cover them up others just leave them handing. You can cover it up with an aluminium bracket or ask the builder. 7 11248 |
