While i'm feeling inspired to do some DIY around the house, i'm wondering what suggestions people might have towards our current master bedroom. The curved wall at the top of the picture is actually a window, I haven't learnt enough in Visio to delete the wall straight wall section and make the curved bit represent as a window Also the top of the picture faces north and the window currently has cedar venetions on it. It also has the central heating duct under the window. There is a ceiling rose with a single frosted light on the end of a brass rod. Ceiling height is possibily 15'? very high. The bed is a queen sized one The two shapes on the right are robes (came with the house) the top left is a 'matching' dresser and same with the large of the two dressers on the left of the picture. The smaller of the two on the left is a cheapy from ikea thats probably about 20 years old. Current paint scheme is the same as the reason of the house; a cool white which is 'flat', or no gloss, with the same colour architraves, a blue/ice blue semi gloss door, door frame and window frame. With the recent poster showing the eurowalls very fancy wall paper, i'm actually extremely happy to use wall paper. I'd love to put in some proper built in robes that are more organised, think about changing the bed location if need be, and without a doubt a complete repaint of the room (entire house needs it to be honest). The room is about 4 metres deep and 4.8 metres wide. The house is a californian bungalow with timber floors. I would move the bed to the left hand wall, and then use the opposite wall for your built-ins. I have made a possy in my wardrobe for my telly, so it can’t be seen when not in use. That now gives you the whole of the wall where the bed is currently, to put your dressing table.
