Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Nov 23, 2015 3:07 pm Hi, Just a question for people who have charcoal tiles on their bathroom floors......what coloured laminex (or similar product) have you chosen for the vanity cabinets? We are going to go white for the kids bathrooms but wanted something more dramatic for the ensuite. I like the wood grain effect but not sure if it would look too brown with the tiles e.g. burnished wood or licorice linea. I would prefer something darker than the tile...almost black but not quite black if that makes sense! Appreciate the help! Re: Dark laminate to go with charcoal tiles 2Dec 17, 2015 8:54 am I am doing this too but worried now that I have gone too far. Anyway have decided to go with it and see what the end result looks like. I will have black wall tiles, charcoal floor tiles, Formica grey stone bench top, black cabinets with a white feature tile behind sink to the mirror. Wood would look amazing! viewtopic.php?t=81011 Build thread viewtopic.php?f=31&t=81011 Re: Dark laminate to go with charcoal tiles 7Dec 19, 2015 2:56 pm Above is our ensuite with grey floor tiles, "mystic night" polytec cabinetry, and grey storm trendstone bench top. I was worried about it all being too dark but with white wall tiles floor to ceiling, big mirror and plenty of natural light it has turned out really nicely Re: Dark laminate to go with charcoal tiles 8Dec 23, 2015 1:01 pm Thanks everyone! Bjhf, I am so glad that you posted the pic, it looks great! We ended up going burnished wood cabinets with a raven (dark grey) caesarstone bench top. All walls will be white except a charcoal wall behind the bath which will be the same tile as the floor. The white bath will break it up nicely. We will end up with a similar effect to yours!
