Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Jul 09, 2008 8:42 pm OK, I'm stuck again.
I wasn't going to worry about a feature wall for our bedroom, mainly because it seemed all too hard to decide on a colour, but painter has finished boys room & they look really good.......so I've now changed my mind, but painter is back to finish house next week so need to make a decision!!! Here is my bed linen.. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ I really liked Paula's wall which was Dulux Tavern, but I think it is probably too close a colour to the latte in bedspread & cushions I think I need to go darker?? Here is DS no 2 wall that he chose which is Sea Elephant - looks fantastic, but is probably too dark & not quite the right tone (I'm sure I haven't got the terms right here Michelle ) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Michelle, I know you are really busy, but have you got any suggestions for me - or anyone else?? Jo Re: Help with my bedroom feature wall.... 2Jul 09, 2008 8:55 pm Hi Jo,
I'm assuming you showed the linen cos you want it to tie in? I'd pick up one of the colours on those front pillows. Maybe the darker one. But I'm a bit crap at colours. Jo I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: Help with my bedroom feature wall.... 3Jul 09, 2008 9:02 pm Quote: But I'm a bit crap at colours. Hehe, I think I'm totally crap!! Yes, I do want it to tie in, but thinking I want to go darker...just not good at working out what colour does that without clashing.....perhaps I should try orange Re: Help with my bedroom feature wall.... 4Jul 09, 2008 9:08 pm Jo K .....perhaps I should try orange When I first saw that orange kitchen thread I thought it was someone taking the p***!!!! What about the colour of the lines across the bedspread? I didn't suggest that cos you said DS's room was too dark. This is why I haven't bothered with feature walls. They're a nightmare! Sample pots tomorrow!! Kitchen splashback to go.....was going to use wall colour (China White), but have decided to be bolder. I'm patiently waiting for baulkhead & overhead doors to be put back on so I can post a photo...... Re: Help with my bedroom feature wall.... 7Jul 09, 2008 9:28 pm China white’s a nice colour, but yes I think you could do a little better!
Thank goodness you are getting sample pots….good luck! I wonder how different they'll look in the pots. I know things look so different on screen. This colour is perfect for DD's room, but I would have liked it a bit daker for mine. What Mish has suggested sounds great. We both like the look of the darker two from the screen - I'll see what they look like on the Dulux fandeck & then get a sample pot of one! Cabinetmaker just rang & he hopes to have everything finished over the weekend, can't wait to show you all my kitchen, it's looking great Re: Help with my bedroom feature wall.... 12Jul 10, 2008 10:50 am I can tell you now Jo….if your computer screen looks half as bad as this one at work, you will be very surprised when you get your sample pots!!!!
The colours are NOTHING like what I’m looking at on my screen!! Much nicer in real life! The laptop I'm on at the moment is shocking, colours don't look anything like they really are. My PC monitor is much better, but still not the same as real life!
