Waiting on a few final things... Michelle, doy ou prefer the River Cherry or the Urban Bamboo? The only thing I'm actually sure of at the moment is the Zinnia... I do love it! Jo I have always been a fan of timber, or a laminate that gets as close to timber as it can. So while you are trying to soften the look, I would use the Cherry. I love bamboo, possibly to get the best from the bamboo look, would be less colours and patterns than you are using……but hey….its your house, do what feels right for you! Umm I don't know what's happening..... I think the River Cherry is out... I've never been 100% happy with it.
But now I'm doubting the Urban Bamboo.... and I'm wondering about Colombian Walnut.... I have no idea... obviously and I'm beginning to think the problem is everything needs to be changed. Oh very stressed.... I don't want to ring M to change things until I'm 100% sure what I'm changing it to ... the other option is Asian Night. Clearly I'm very confused about anything woody! I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. I haven't got any other patterns ....only what will be on the wood. And the only colour is the orange, black benchtops. The underbench cupboards, splashback and walls are basically the same colour.... why is this too many colours? Many people have two cupboard colours, a splash back and a benchtop... then their wall colour..... why have I got too many? I don't understand... And you don't see them all together..... when in the kitchen the Zinnia can't be seen.... when out of the kitchen the underbench clour can't be seen. You know why, because you keep looking at other selections after you have chosen them. STOP NOW! Make a decision….. And stop looking, you will go around in circles otherwise, then confuse the hell out of yourself ….then come back to your original choices!!!! Start your landscaping plan, get off the interior if you are finished! I know it's not..... I've never been really happy with it and have always played around with the samples that I have. I like everything else together... and I know what I'm trying to do.... but it's just off being there.... do you know what I mean? But I just cannot get the wood right.
I'm not being swayed by people... most people have told me the orange sucks.. I don't care.. I like it... but the wood I know is not right.... and I know I'll be disappointed with it if I stick with the River Cherry. I haven't done this with anything else... paint, tiles, bathroom, brick, externals I love.... (just want to change where the feature tile goes ) so this isn't just freak out over thinking... I know it's not right. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: Opinions please- 22/9 Kitchen photoshop by d@n!!!!! 88Sep 22, 2008 3:35 pm OK…..I see a speckle in the bench top?
I see grain in the timber/Bamboo? I also see a reflective glare from the glass splashback? And that’s 2 grains in the cupboards? JO…..I’m not saying you have too many, I’m saying for the Bamboo to take on its true Bamboo feel, less maybe best with it….IMO. On my website is a bathroom vanity I designed in Bamboo Laminate when it first came out. Not a very good photo, but if you notice the bathroom tiles are very neutral. There’s also a Bamboo mirror on the wall above. In life this vanity looks great, its stands alone in the bathroom, the only other thing to pull the eye from the bamboo is the Murray Red feature wall. As I said before, it’s your home; I’m not trying to confuse you. The cupboard colour is soft grey.... the only grain will be in the wood I'm choosing..... that's only one grain.... the benchtop is Jet Black... I chose this because it has minimal visual texture... it looks flat black... There is very little texture anywhere except for the 1 wood I'm trying to pick... You are actually confusing me because many, many of the kitchens on the forum have two cupboard colours (1 wood grain) a really grainy textured looking benchtop and then a coloured splashback and there's no mention of too many colours. I don't understand the difference with mine. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. My preference is something darker than the River Cherry.... that will suit other colours if in the future the Zinnia panel is changed..... Sorry, you better get back to work... Thanks... A drawing? Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com I was being kind to the builder. With the amount charged for the upgrade the builder is probably charging closer to 100% margin. There are a few variables as I… 5 14315 No. It's not original.
