In Melbourne, MattBlatt sell a lot of Eames rep stuff. Check them out. There is also a seller on Ebay with warehouses in Sydney & Melbourne who sells them - I know, 'cos I was looking at them 15 mins ago!!! Don't know the name, sorry! I thought it was also an Eames reproduction - so you know more than me!!! My friend (who built a gorgeous house that featured in the Herald Sun home mag last year) has one of those. I was just admiring it about 2 hours ago as one of my sons lounged on it an played his rotten PSP!!!!! She just bought the most gorgeous side table from Zusta today (I was salivating.... ) Ok, let's stop....I have to get my house built before I look at anything else!!!!!!! Search under floor lamps... The timber one is really gorgeous though, it would make a real feature to the room i think! I like them too, but will wait till we are in the house before i begin searching for them. Show us pics when you get one? Re: Hi....I'm TDL and I have a lighting fetish please help! 11Jun 27, 2008 11:02 pm That's guys for the comments, information, and links. I was happy with the first three until I saw No 4......that would look fantastic in our house we have the perfect spot for it between two couches that come in a 90 degrees to each other.....timber....love the timber.
YC....custom job...hmmm....wonder how they ran the power through, maybe on a routed edge....got me thinking....could be a good excuse for some new tools. mmm....donuts Homer Simpson 1956- Links: Site Costs Ready Reckoner | H1 Addiction Medical Advice | Château TDL: The Backyard Re: Hi....I'm TDL and I have a lighting fetish please help! 13Jun 27, 2008 11:26 pm That last one is quite nice. No money to buy one here any more though. Looks like I'll be having brown paper curtians for a long time after todays site costs shocker Re: Hi....I'm TDL and I have a lighting fetish please help! 14Jun 27, 2008 11:37 pm Mike when you look closely at it, it may not actually be solid wood, it might actually two pieces of wood with stainless used as a sort of spacer?? Can you see it??? Around the edges? That might be an option? Then no need to route out a section to run the wire... sorry might not need those tools now??? You can get a solid-looking one for about $2k, or there are lots of shabbier-looking ones on eBay. I got myself one (middle sized, smaller than the "original" size) for $100, but I have to say it does show that it's cheap.
There's a shop in Highpoint shopping centre (don't know if you're in MEL), amongst the home maker shops that sells them (the "good" ones).
