I've purchased DD some framed embroidered pics for one of her walls (first pic) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ and my DM has made her a green and raspberry quilt and pillowcase for her bed which will be sitting under another wall Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Can you advise if a green feature wall would be ideal for behind her bed. The rest of her furniture is all white. These are a few Dulux colours I am considering: Carrot flower Zen Mossa Palmerin Any thoughts re: a feature wall colour to pull it together? We will be putting a similar pic to the one below of faeries on the wall behind her bed: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Many thanks. Re: Kids Feature Wall 2Jun 23, 2008 9:30 am Hey Dy,
I'm not Michelle (obviously) but I just wanted to say what gorgeous things you have chosen for your daughters room. I'm also going to do a green feature wall in my daughters room as I think it is a colour which can go right through their lifespan - young child to late teenager (or whenever they decide to move out ) Out of the colours you have selected - i like the Carrot Flower - nice colour Have fun designing it all Bel My karma ran over your dogma Re: Kids Feature Wall 3Jun 23, 2008 9:38 am What beautiful taste you have!!
The only concern I have is, is the fairy picture too close to the greens you have chosen?? (sorry havent looked up the colours ) You dont really want it to blend in. With the risk of getting into trouble, I quite like a lime green that will tie in with the other prints you have. I know not everyone is into lime green, but I love it!! I love green and I agree it will look great for quite a while. I might post a couple of the greens in the thread for a comparison tonight. Hi Paula I adore lime green but I'm not sure it will go with the dark green in the quilt/ pillowcases my DM has made for the bed. It will certainly suit the pics tho . I'm thinking that picking a colour close to the fairy picture will reduce the costs of the painting on the wall. I probably wasn't very clear but we are getting an artist to paint the fairy on the wall and DH and I were planning on painting the background, a few leaves, the tree and leaving the fancy stuff to her. Thanks for the comments everyone. I was a bit worried I was off track with all the colours so your feedback is well appreciated. That will look stunning - the artist can blend in the edges so it has a fading effect. Right, now I cant wait to see it!!!! Re: Kids Feature Wall 8Jun 23, 2008 12:08 pm I love the carrot flower DeeElle. I'm a bit of a green fan. The others look quite blue to me. Especially zen and new life? Or it might just be my screen. I think the pink will be striking against the carrot flower.

Sorry: I edited the colours and took out new life. I agree too blue. I'm heading toward carrot flower as well. Re: Kids Feature Wall 10Jun 23, 2008 12:23 pm palmerin

So I’m stuck making any suggestions till I’m in my office! Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com Re: Kids Feature Wall 15Jun 23, 2008 12:40 pm These three are the best I think:
Palmerin (drama) Carrot flower (soft) Canaletto (same tones as CF but darker) I'll paint some boards and pull them around the room. Saw Home Heist the other day on Foxtel. Colin and Justin painted the family kids and made them stand in different parts of the room so they could choose a colour. Drastic but it worked . Why not paint her room in the Carrot Flower, and do the feature wall in the Canaletto! The pink & white will look gorgeous with the 2 colours.
