Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Jan 14, 2015 7:55 pm Hi All Any ideas on what could be my render colour for the external walls of my house? My house is situated within a bush area. I really don't want shades of white, greens or colorbond dune. I would prefer a darker colour if I can. I'm not making it easy for myself Windows- Matt black Roof- Wallaby Facias- Wallaby Gutters- Wallaby Walls- ?? Downpipes- same colour as the walls ?? Eaves- potentially dulux lexicon (not to white, light grey?) Advice appreciated. Re: Render colour for Wallaby Colorbond Roof 2Jan 14, 2015 11:36 pm We have wallaby walls and shale grey roofing, gutters and fascia. I think it looks ok but I'm not expert at these things. My idea was to stick to the colorbond colours range for the most part and change shades if required (I.e. Half strength etc). Our roof is also skillion and 7metres at the highest point so you can't see the colour unless your flying over We also have black windows and doors and we are also in the bush!! Down pipes should be same as the walls I think. I was leaning towards Basalt but was not 100% sure. I was tossing up between Basalt and Windspray. Thanks Spong for your reply. I have ruled out Shale Grey due to it being so light when exposed to full sun on our block. It would look great with the wallaby walls though Re: Render colour for Wallaby Colorbond Roof 5Feb 07, 2015 8:34 pm HI all Changed my mind and went with Dulux Flooding Gum:-) Re: Render colour for Wallaby Colorbond Roof 6Feb 09, 2015 9:39 am Arrrgh I thought I had it worked out. In todays overcast weather the Flooded gum colour looks the same as the roof!! And Basalt is to 'blue' passers by thought it was blue including the builder. I want a lovely grey. Time is running out:-( Your house roof does not show rusting other than some surface rust on the flashings. In my opinion you dont need to replace or paint the roof other than treat surface rust… 1 10874 You should pressure clean your roof first and make sure the paint you buy also is anti mould. 4 21276 Thank you so much. We ended going with the terrain that’s part of our brick. 2 3311 |
