Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Jun 17, 2008 3:16 pm I posted previously about selecting a colour for my kitchen bench top. I now have the kitchen colours worked out (I ended up getting a colour consultant in to assist) but need help with a splashback colour.
Here is what we have so far: Cupboards - antique white Benchtop - raw silk caesarstone Floors - blackbutt Wall colour - either Dulux Chalk USA or berkshire white Kitchen is open plan galley style combined with meals/family room and will get lots of natural light. The consultant mentioned I could just have a clear splashback over the wall colour but I am worried this would be too plain. At the same time, I would like the kitchen to look elegant and not be dated in 5yrs time. With this in mind, should I just leave the splashback clear (or painted the same as wall colour)? If not, can you please advise which colour splashback would be complimentary. I was looking at the Dulux browns/naturals range - possibly "gentle touch"? Thank you again for any advice. Re: Help with splashback colour 3Jun 17, 2008 4:46 pm Table/chairs and TV unit is a honey brown colour - will be buying new couches which will probably be a light brown.
I plan on having roman blinds in the kitchen/meals area, probably a cream/light beige colour. Re: Help with splashback colour 4Jun 17, 2008 5:51 pm natava1…if you look in the Dulux “Directions in White” brochure you will see a colour called “Crewelwork” this would be my choice for you subtle but classy.
Its perfect with your other colours as well. Love the colour Michelle suggested. Hmmmm, think I should have gone clear for mine......... Happy at Home Thankyou so much 😀 I've decided on White on white for doors and trims, White on white 50% on ceiling and Mt buller for walls. Fingers crossed it will look OK 😀 2 7149 Thank you @. Tried to play with the facade models but the exact colour is not matching up. 2 3230 |
