Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Jun 17, 2008 2:25 pm Hi Me again
I have decided to get a rug made up - (yes it works out a little cheaper than some rugs I've seen), as I cant find one in the size I need. I have samples of two, a large sample of the darker colour and a small one of the lighter one. The dark one looks good but I think it blends in with the furniture a little too much. The lighter sample is so small I cant visualise it, but I think this might be the way to go??? Here are two photos, I am having a tub chair where I have put the dining room chair in that colour). The light in the photos have changes from photo to photo - but I'm sure you will get the drift. Sorry to bug you all again, but I trust all of your judgement (well nearly all ) Looking at the photos on my screen the second photo is more true to life, and you can see both colours either side of the chair. I realise you are going to have a chair there, but make it hard to see the rugs properly!
I'm meaning toward the darker one though - the browny one doesnt seem to go with anything else in the pics. Built Porter Davis "Dromana" 2007. The problem is getting the true to life colour. I turned the flash off and closed some blinds, but they still look lighter than in real life. The dark one is too close to your furniture, not giving you contrast in colours.
