What colours go with SOLVER DUNE??? We have Vienna Cocoa (brown) roof tiles with blackish gutters/windows/entrance door. Solver Dune - main render & garage door Solver Caribou - feature render on one wall (LH with planter box) & front portico coming up to black front door. I'm worried we're going too dark with the caribou and on too many walls. ANY suggestions would be much appreciated! http://i1370.photobucket.com/albums/ag276/tramad/20141122_111803_zps894520c2.jpg Re: PLEASE HELP-Render Colours - I Think I'm Going Crazy (Du 2Nov 26, 2014 5:35 am I'll try and pop in tonight and have a look for you. I don't think its too much caribou, I think it will really make your house stand out. I just have to remember it's only paint after all. Never thought I'd turn into this person constantly thinking about paint choices, nuts!! Your build is looking marvelous, especially love those bathroom feature tiles Re: PLEASE HELP-Render Colours - I Think I'm Going Crazy (Du 6Nov 26, 2014 5:45 pm Get a sample of the Caribou and Kanga.....paint them on a board with the Dune and lean the board against the house. Caribou is a nice colour, but the dark roof tiles could be an issue with it. The only way to tell is to get the sample pots. Kanga is the next colour up from Caribou. Make sure you can get a roof tile as well. If in doubt take a photo of the the lot and post so I can see. It always reminds me of icecream and chocolate when I see it... its gorgeous. Triggy doesn't like it tho. Its a shame I don't have a good picture of it for you. I think your colours will look great. I wish we had chosen a lighter gutter too. Re: PLEASE HELP-Render Colours - Dune & Caribou 15Nov 28, 2014 10:25 pm Wow, that's a really dark feature colour isn't it. Thanks for sending it to me it does help me decide that I'm not after that kind of look although very nice. I like the stone on the portico. I think I'm leaning towards changing Caribou for a lighter grey/beige maybe Crag Grey. Thanks again for taking the time to help. PLEASE HELP-Render Colours - Dune & Caribou 18Nov 29, 2014 11:45 am I suggest getting a very large board of ply and some sample pots and painting it in your colours so you can get an idea. I painted a board in 4 different sections with the colours we had in mind. So section 1 was surfmist (roof) evening haze (main render) seal grey (feature) Section 2 was Surfmist Evening haze Coffee Etc so I could see which colours worked and which didn't. I'm so glad I did it because one of our schemes was shimmer dolphin and elephant grey but once painted they both had hues of purple in them and they would not have worked for our house. If we had a lighter roof I think my options would be so much more. I think burns is right about the sample pots, definitely the way to go. Thanks ladies you've gone above and beyond to help me Hi Alex, Thanks for the reply again.
