Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Jun 10, 2008 12:18 pm I need desperate help !. We are renovating our house at present, and have added an extension to the back. My problem is choosing the render colour for the exterior- I would like to render in a grey colour but it has to be the correct colour as my house is on the downside of our street and I have a prominent black tiled roof with white windows (which I can change as on the new part the windows/doors are anodised aluminuim col). I have come across green greys and blue greys, but after many sample pots I still can't find the correct grey - can you please help !! (I have tried to upload a pic but with no sucess, if someone can point out how to that would be great !). I assume the other colours will be lighter than pelaco but will they still be as purple ?.
What do you think about a colour called Raku - I saw this today and on the particular house where it was on the fence and around the garage area it looked great (they had a cream col also which the house was done in). Do you think it would be too dark ? Re: Render Colour for my house 8Jun 12, 2008 8:40 pm That’s a very dark colour for the exterior of your home!
In the same gradient as Raku, there are 2 lighter ones you can look at. Dulux “Malay Grey” and “Tristan” then if you have a rendered fence you can use the Raku. it is a very dark grey. Hi Alex, Thanks for the reply again. I had a chat with the builder, he said he will use primer, then hydrotec which comes with colour and sealer as well.
