Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Oct 20, 2014 3:43 am We have a tiny toilet that I want to add some colour and life to but don't know where to start. We've just begun adding some colour to our very neutral coloured home with cushions, plants, etc. I'm about to repaint the trims in a gloss white and was thinking of adding a light teal behind the toilet. What are your thoughts and how can I dress up this space? Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: How to decorate a tiny toilet? 2Oct 20, 2014 9:04 am It is a toilet ! Some colour might be nice - but ... it is a toilet ... You could paint the window frame a colour - not the wall - just to off set it - but - it is a toilet. Another fun thing - have a cork board behind the door for funny news items and things. But - it is a toilet - just saying ... Re: How to decorate a tiny toilet? 4Oct 21, 2014 5:41 am Put a sunscreen roller blind on the window and use that as the place to add colour. Its a small room, don't over do it....I've got a small loo as well. These are the 2 looks so far since I've been here. I always like a wallpaper in the loo as well, easy to clean. Yes - the artificial pot plant always does well in the toilet ... Re: How to decorate a tiny toilet? 6Oct 22, 2014 9:35 am I agree with Saint Mike.... it's only a dunny. You can go beserk and decorate it all nice, but you already say it is a 'tiny toilet' , so it could easily become too over done and look worse than what you think it does now. Re: How to decorate a tiny toilet? 8Oct 23, 2014 10:10 am I'd get a timber or timber look venetian in there. Wood always warms up and adds texture to plain areas, or a textured roller blind. Then a nice wall pic with some colour on that. I reckon a wall of teal or a "pop" colour might be a bit much for a little room like that. Would give it some warmth and a new dimension. It looks like you don't have much, if any, window ledge, so you could maybe put a nice shelf in just to put a plant or item on. I was also going to suggest, depending on the room available, you could possibly hang a very small pant from the ceiling in a macrame (or other) type of arrangement. Or hang one of those glass bubble/terrariums that have a loop in the top and just thread some string or ribbon through it?? Keep it small, but depends if there is room on the side of the loo so as not to bang into it. All the best with it. Re: How to decorate a tiny toilet? 12Nov 04, 2014 7:32 am I think the toilet is one room where you can go really over the top when decorating. How about using one of those removable vinyl murals on the side wall? I love this one on Houzz. http://www.houzz.com.au/photos/2072571/ ... -francisco Re: How to decorate a tiny toilet? 14Nov 04, 2014 4:47 pm You can also put bathmat to complete the look of your bedroom. I did actually paint a feature wall on the back wall around the window, but the colour was just a few shades darker than the rest (which was Antique White USA) in the 'suede' paint. It added some interest without adding too much colour. The only other thing was a very small (1" x 4") floating shelf that sat to the right of the window, in the corner, which held a thin ceramic bowl of pot pourri.
