Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Aug 25, 2014 10:31 pm Every couple of years we head out to buy a lounge. Every time we get so confused we come home empty handed. I'm hoping a bit of forward planning may help the next time we try. Hope you can help me with the forward planning..It might be important to mention that we have a 4.5 year old and a 1.5 year old. We have a family room which has floor to ceiling windows on the north wall and the west wall. The windows have a honey coloured stain. The floor is cork tiles so orangey brown. Not my favourite colours but we inheritted them. Aim will be not to accentuate them! We are looking to buy a 2 or 2.5 seater lounge and a 3 seater lounge and place them in an L shape. We are also wanting to buy a corner coffeetable and an ottaman. I am thinking: Lounge: leather - beige or sandy day Ottaman+ cushions: a retro themed print with oranges and reds with a beige / sandy day background Rug: A greyish shaggy rug. Do you think this colour scheme will work? Do you suggest a round or rectangular ottaman with this layout?
