Hope the boys don't cover it in street art or something lol Re: The Block? 62Sep 15, 2014 8:16 pm I totally agree, they LOOK awesome! BUT, would you want to keep up with the maintenance and cleaning of it? They are all doing a fantastic job! That's a good tip for anyone in the future that enters the show, buy his book and copy it in the reno they do. I did think there was some extra harsh judging this last week though. Re: The Block? 68Sep 22, 2014 6:44 am I agree Dan..looks ok, but in the long run may be a bit of work. I'm pretty over seeing the same thing in design/decoration at the moment. Looking forward to a move forward. Looking forward to a move forward. What are some of the "same things" you're over? And what do you want to see instead? When it comes to bathrooms, i'm not a fan of the all black/dark tile look. Find it really heavy. Conversely the all white look is a bit too clinical. The judges seem to love a trend ie. matt finish over glossy. Re: The Block? 70Sep 22, 2014 9:03 am **Possible Spoiler Alert** http://www.realestate.com.au/property-a ... -117930567 Darren and Dee's apartment is up online. Nothing you haven't seen before in the photos, but if you are worried about spoilers - don't click! It's great to actually see the floorplan and see how it all works together. This is, by far, my fav apartment. I adore their parquetry flooring and kitchen. I'm not really a huge fan of the others....they tend to all look the same... This was Darren and Dee's house they sold in March....LOVE it! http://www.realestate.com.au/property-h ... -116232795 Henley - Wilshire Mk 3 ... I love my house!! I'm a decorator and colour expert, we see things differently and I'm far more practical with my selections and styles than many designer. I love the black tiles, but the heaving black/grey needs to have some warmth introduced to give a space a feeling of balance and harmony. I'm very happy for Chris and Jenna and the boys. The money the others made wouldn't even cover lost wages for 3 months. I don't watch it, but this sounds some of the properties sold for much less than they should have? --- Re: The Block? 77Oct 13, 2014 5:21 am I cant believe how the auction went. Im glad dee and darren didnt win. I think next season they should do it to properties that wont have such a high price tag, so more people could have a chance to buy them. Re: The Block? 79Oct 13, 2014 11:43 am WOW didn't see that coming. It was painful to watch. I didn't like the double D's but to walk away with only $10,000 after months of hard work and the sacrifice of being away from their family. Ouch! I'm happy for Chris and Jenna and the boys. I really wanted Michael and Carlene to win and felt so sorry for them. Re: The Block? 80Oct 13, 2014 11:45 am Rumour has it D&D have signed up for the next series, I wonder if they'll go through with it? 6 11145 Yes it had a house on it. But Melbourne water only wanted something the original size of the existing house. We managed to fit a 45sq house on. 10 33666 4 4492 |
