Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Jul 14, 2014 12:28 am Does anyone know what the name is of the lines that some people have in their render. I googled and found something called Ashlar Cut. But I'm not sure if thats exactly what I'm after - basically I see some people have like a design of lines (not a lot) in their render on the facade. If you have this, how did you ask the builder for it - what did you call it? Does it cost more? Thanks for your help! I don't need it to be that fancy, but essentially just the idea of the detailing in the render itself. I just don't want plain flat render everywhere. So was thinking maybe a couple of lines close together to divide the sections and then repeat the pattern 1/3 of the way up again. Or something to this effect. Not too sure, what exactly; I just like the idea and was wondering if anyone who has done this could tell me what to ask the renderer - and does it cost a lot? Thanks Re: Cement Render 7Aug 05, 2014 6:28 am I didn't think you would be able to do it with a normal render, then I remembered, I have seen it done somewhere just can't remember where!
