Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Jul 04, 2014 1:57 am Hi, I'm looking to choose a wood look laminate for my new build kitchen benchtop. Would love to have real timber top but was quoted over 6k yesterday so laminate it is. Not keen on bamboo. Below is a pic of our kitchen cupboards, same colour, fronts and over heads but we're not having the extra little details, swirls, skirting etc that make the kitchen look more provincial. Also having brushed silver door knobs instead. Kitchen; http://postimg.org/image/p85ybknkz/ Going to have large sandy colour tiles on floor, white 10cm x 30cm subway style tiles for kitchen walls and hog bristle for remaining walls. I like this look for a laminate, against the white cupboards; http://www.houzz.com/photos/9459992/Har ... n-adelaide Would prefer wood 'look' to not be too light or too red. What do people think of these laminates??; 1. http://www.duropal.com.au/decors/block- ... est=decors 2. http://www.wilsonart.com/homeowners/lam ... l?sku=7973 Feeling a bit desperate so any ideas/advice would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you:-) Re: Help: Need Wood Look laminate for kitchen benchtop, pics 2Jul 04, 2014 2:47 am Additionally, I just found the following article using one of the above laminates; http://www.tommywelsh.co.uk/kitchen-sec ... oss-white/ Looks good to me:-) Re: Help: Need Wood Look laminate for kitchen benchtop, pics 3Jul 09, 2014 7:09 am I really like the Wilsonart laminate you posted. That will look stunning with white. Much appreciated:-) I actually confirmed my selection today using the other Duropal laminate! Hopefully it turns out nice. I'm quite happy with the look. Perhaps I'll post a pic of the finished kitchen in case people are interested. This is a pic of what the cupboard fronts and paneling will look like, minus the provincial swirls and detail; http://postimg.org/image/xaz18j965/ I have the same colour as the above cupboards, 'Streetlight' (Formica) and have paired it with long white subway type tiles for the splash backs. I was terrified that the cupboard and splash back tile (gloss white) would clash but am hoping it will look ok... I like an odd style combo of french and coastal, so will make decorating interesting:-) We are tossing up between a Jarrahdale radiant wood fire (the Pioneer) and a convection wood fire (Innovator or Countryman) but cannot decide on which type of wood fire is… 0 4052 yeah i couldnt picture it issue either, but i could clearly picture what they were doing wrong haha 2 4257 Levelling compound Ardit is the best but buy a bag of sand and make sand dam to protect your wood floor 2 13217 |
