Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 May 28, 2008 6:23 pm OK, so I am going for a warm homey look. Flooded gum floors (aka Rose Gum), will have a gas fireplace, shaggy rug etc.
So Michelle has suggested 1/2 strength shetland lace would look good with our Clamshell kitchen (open plan). I have painted a sample board and the colour looks great BUT would you class this as a warm colour???? Would it suit the mood I am wanting to create? Also any suggestion about a feature colour for the wall of the fireplace? Still warm homely colour. Our lounge will be a light nougat type colour, with chocolate furniture. Any help would be appreciated!!! Re: Is this colour warm or cool? 2May 28, 2008 6:33 pm Matamber….. shetland lace, is a warm colour!
I’m going out a limb here for your feature wall, get a sample pot of the Dulux “Paradise Grape” Stunning colour. A mix between deep Aubergine and brown, see how you go. It looks great with the shetland lace, and should look really good with your light nougat lounge and chocolate furniture.
