We live in a 1920 free standing terrace and we have stables in the backyard.
The stables are going to be turned into a studio and the builder is coming on monday expecting me to tell him what colour I want the new roof to be. We will get the main roof of the terrace redone next year. I want to keep the roof of both the stables and main house red. The builder has indicated that there are just two colours to choose from - Manor red and headland. I don't think our existing roof is either. I guess that could be because either 1) the colourbond colour is no longer available or maybe 2) it is one of these and the roof has faded so much over the years. Would appreciate some help deciding between these two reds.
Our house is red brick, windows and doors are black, balistrading is black, guttering and down pipes is deep indian red. We have a small section which is rendered bushland grey. the verandah posts are candle bark(?)
The stables will be painted bushland grey with black doors and deep indian red guttering. The attached pergola will have verandah posts in candle bark(?).
Do you think roof should be manor red or headland? I like headland more because it is softer but maybe manor red is better because it will possibly match in better with the deep indian red guttering. And maybe manor red will fade anyway to become a softer colour. Any ideas? Go with manor red?
