It would be nice for a sparsely furnished simple room or it would be lost easily.
I think I see price tags on the lamp and the painting, is it one you are thinking of buying? Em Re: What do you think of this painting? 4May 16, 2008 6:22 pm To go on this wall, above the fireplace

The black one is a timber cut out…..I guess I can show her both and see what she thinks. Would wash it out to much. And you would lose the touch of red. Not that I know what I'm talking about, i'm just making it up as I go along...what would I do etc.
The Black and white one..hmmm colours better but too boring for me. Em Re: What do you think of this painting? 13May 16, 2008 6:45 pm Paula You shouldn't give me choices!! I like both for that space. It depends on the furniture - will it go with the black or have some of the red in the painting? I’m using red in another room, so this room I’m making a less is best statement. Thanks Paula! I think it's really classic, whereas the timber cut out I would probably get sick of. Only that there is a lovely fireplace below where you are looking at hanging the painting and then there is the tellie.
I think the painting would destract me too much, have you seen anything a little les dramatic (eye catching) that might suit the wall??
