Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Oct 19, 2013 11:19 am I am going to replace all the doors in my house I will be renovating. At the moment they are all flush panel doors. Only problem is I can't decide on a door! Would love to know which one everyone prefers out of the 3 I have narrowed it down to.

I like the first one. The second looks a bit like the generic option you see in offices etc and the third looks like the panels should have glass or something in them. So definitely the first gets my vote! Our build thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=69984 If you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain. Re: Please help me choose a door! 4Oct 20, 2013 12:14 pm I like the second one, I think it's the most modern. I find one and three fairly dated, and two the most modern so perhaps some people equate modern with business or something. I've never seen any of these doors in an office environment or anything other than a home. (I think that's her name) She had her own build thread here; I think the build was in 2008. I remember because I loved her doors (and the colour so much) I saved them on my phone for future use. If I can find her thread, I'll be back. Her house ended up featuring in The Age's lifestyle section - it is gorgeous! 19.03.14 - Land Settlement 15.04.14 - Building Permit 28.04.14 - Earthworks 14.05.14 - Slab Stage 20.05.14 - Frame Stage 11.06.14 - Lock Up Stage 03.07.14 - Fix Stage 15.08.14 - New Home Presentation Re: Please help me choose a door! 9Oct 21, 2013 7:04 am I'm also a but dumbfounded by the 'office' comment.... I have the second option all throughout my home and I love them. They are a simpler version of our front doors and tie everything together beautifully. I actually don't find them modern, either! My home is leaning on the traditional side of things, rather than modern. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Henley - Wilshire Mk 3 ... I was planning to just paint them white but now i'm rethinking! I like the two panel ones - the four panel ones look good in federation homes but seem out of place in other homes in my mind's eye. The multi panel horizontal one reminds me of a 70s inspired piece - they are nice in the right styled home - but you need to style around them - and they are kind of busy looking. So another vote for the two panel one. Re: Please help me choose a door! 12Oct 23, 2013 8:46 pm Oops, that was my comment! no offense intended. I think it's Bc we have those doors at work! They do look great in those pictures shown. Ignore me Our build thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=69984 If you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain. We live in a pretty safe area and itβs great to see people walking to the front door. Weβre not too fussed about people… 4 1127 If this is a custom build then I would expect the builder to set out the door frame closer to the wall to avoid the gap between architrave and the wall and or specify… 9 8324 Thankyou so much π I've decided on White on white for doors and trims, White on white 50% on ceiling and Mt buller for walls. Fingers crossed it will look OK π 2 7171 |
