Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Oct 14, 2013 11:32 pm I appear to be a bit unusual in that I don't like doonas and much prefer to use a bedspread. Main reason being is that doona covers are a pain to make the bed with and the doona keeps bunching up inside the cover. Anyway, I've decided to give up on them and just buy bedspreads/coverlets or whatever you call them. They don't appear to be very common, so I'm wondering if anyone has any recommendations on where to buy them? Thanks! Re: After a warm bedspread, not doona 2Oct 14, 2013 11:37 pm This isn't answering your question but I get annoyed with the doonas moving within the cover as well. In the next few weeks im going to try out sewing a string or something to each corner of the doona and each corner of the cover and tie the darn thing up! Might be worth a go if you don't find a bedspread you like Re: After a warm bedspread, not doona 3Oct 14, 2013 11:54 pm I've actually tried something similar ages ago using strong safety pins, kinda worked but not really. This winter I got so frustrated I stopped using the doona cover at all! I saw some bedspreads on the Adairs website but they all look a little old-fashioned, I'm after something a bit more modern. I actually found quite a nice one at Freedom but that was ages ago. Unfortunately you either need to then put loops in your existing doona covers or buy the special doona covers s with the tie connection in them I had a similar issue with my fridge not too long ago. It wasn't the same model, but the symptoms were pretty much the same: the compressor would start and then stop… 3 7551 We were lucky in that our old house was so small (86 square metres) compared to the new house, they were able to take enough readings around the old backyard house before… 8 37158 The concreter will take and reuse. In my case I bought structural LVLs and scraped them back and used them as joists. 1 5160 |
