Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Sep 06, 2013 8:18 am Hi I know there has been a lot of posts about the colours I am enquiring about the problem is I have a lounge room and a dining room next to each other. I have completely finished 2 coats of the Hog Bristle in the dining room, it is slightly a darker room and I am happy with how the colour looks. The lounge room is a little bit brighter has only had 1 coat of the Hog bristle, friends have commented that they can already see a lot of yellow in the colour and even one said it looks quite peachy. I hate peach, I really wanted the walls to have the depth and warmth. Do you think if I was to paint the 2nd coat that the peachy colour would go? I am asking because I have run out of paint and will need to buy more and am happy to start again. I wanted a neutral, beige grey colour for the wall. Would Grand piano or Beige royal solve my problem. My floors are tas oak. Would love your opinions thanks Re: Please help Hog Bristle/Grand piano or Beige Royal 2Sep 07, 2013 8:17 am If I'm not mistaken Beige Royal has a brown undertone so that should assist with getting rid of the yellow/peachy appearance. We chose Beige Royal half for our build and we also have Tassie Oak floors. Although we are nowhere near painting stage yet (still framing) so I can't vouch for my selections yet! The results showed that Beige royal has the same ochre quantities in it, but has double the amount of black and has 1 drop less red then Hog Bristle. The red used in Beige royal was also a different red the person said it was a dirtier red. This might take the yellow away as there is more black then my hog bristle. Mrsmel is your limed white half strength a grey/beige colour? I will go check it out at the paint store. Thankyou so much 😀 I've decided on White on white for doors and trims, White on white 50% on ceiling and Mt buller for walls. Fingers crossed it will look OK 😀 2 3618 i had the my concreters concrete right up to the fence. I have pits all along my path, so the water tends to drain away from the house and into the pits.
