Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Aug 08, 2013 11:25 pm Forgive the silly title. Our builder has asked us to sign a variation to drop the highlight window in our home theatre room. We'd asked for the window to be made as small and high as possible from the original design. It ended up being 6c tall. The plans show the head height to be 28c but 25c on the elevations. The builder wants us to have the head height at 25c as per elevations (presumably to line up with the head height of all the other door/windows). We have 31c ceilings & the window is on the side of the house so having all the windows at the same head height isn't important. 25c means the bottom of the window would be at 19c (around 1.6m), This seems too low to us, it's supposed to be a highlight. Does the head height have to be that low? or should we stick to our original idea and insist on 28C? Thanks! I'm spoke to the builder I'm not sure if this is all true but basically went along the lines of they considered all options and if I was to compact and fill it… 2 7307 It will be neat but you won't have much freeboard. At least they are not weep holes. Are you in a high intensity rainfall region? The regulatory slope is only required… 3 8267 4 6201 |
