Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge Re: How to make bathroom look "wider"? 22May 07, 2008 7:29 pm Helyn I like that 2nd photo TDL - less "colour overlap" than 1st photo, and I also think the high horizontal frieze helps add height to the look, balancing out the length. OK if I promise not to talk "engineering geek speak" will you promise not to talk "interior designology" ..... what do you mean by "colour overlap"....are all the shades of brown interfering with each other? mmm....donuts Homer Simpson 1956- Links: Site Costs Ready Reckoner | H1 Addiction Medical Advice | Château TDL: The Backyard Re: How to make bathroom look "wider"? 23May 07, 2008 7:32 pm Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com Re: How to make bathroom look "wider"? 24May 08, 2008 12:25 pm Quote: OK if I promise not to talk "engineering geek speak" will you promise not to talk "interior designology" ..... what do you mean by "colour overlap"....are all the shades of brown interfering with each other? Ummmm , its a term that I just made up I just meant that, IMO, there are too many colours/textures/ patterns in the 1st bathroom, especially for a small room and especially that very busy pattern above the ledge and I prefer the sleek simple look of the 2nd one (which you find stark - to each his own) Re: How to make bathroom look "wider"? 26May 08, 2008 12:35 pm I think the bathroom with the "colour overlap" actually has elements that make it look even longer and skinner. The brown tiles continued from the floor above the bath/shower to me make the room look longer. Re: How to make bathroom look "wider"? 27May 08, 2008 12:55 pm How about this one....no color overlap...although there is something I don't quite like about this bathroom....hmmmm don't know what it is...hmmmm....
