Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Jul 10, 2013 7:59 am Hi all, I am looking for some inspiration for alfresco door coverings. I have two triple stacking doors opening onto my alfresco and would love to see others solutions to this. What have others done on their alfresco doors? My friend has a few panels (I think they were from Fre.dom but I might be wrong) and they seem to screech along the rails and also if she pulls it too far across then the panels get caught up on each other trying to go back again and they flap out a bit if there's any breeze through the door... looks like a lot of bother! I sell these at Carpet Court where I work and I always ask my customers about their lifestyle and family. Panels come in lots of different fabrics and those need to be looked at also. Panles should if possible open back onto the wall either side or to one side of the door opening. Yes they will flap around in the breeze if it is a light weight fabric. Your friend can stop the screeching by putting a little WD40 on the rollers, care not to spray the fabric! I would recommend panels with batons in them that would make them heavier and flap around less. All these things should be spoken about while purchasing and window dressing.
